So I came knocking on the Server-Admins door a few years ago needing Windows hosting after a software change... I have to say, as someone who's dealt with a few hosting companies before, I read their claims of 99% uptime and excellent service, and thought: "Yeah right! Once you get the first payment, all that goes Poof!" Did these guys prove me wrong!!!
Shortly after my sites were transferred, I had issues with some functions on one of them. I just could not get the site to work the way it was supposed to. Contacted the Server-Admins support team for some help, as I was new to this whole Windows thing. What did they do? They went and wrote two little programs to MAKE my site work!!! I was gratefully shocked, to say the least.
A while later, Server-Admins decide that they want to give their clients more... They sent out an email going on about how moving servers would enable them to give clients more webspace and traffic. I did not pay much attention to the email, thinking it was meant for new customers, or for the big fish and that a little fish like me could just continue dreaming... Next thing I know, I'm getting transfer tickets for my sites! Totally panicked, I jumped on the phone to support, something's seriously wrong, I did not ask for my sites to be transferred!!! They calmly informed me that they wanted to transfer my sites to the new server so I could get more... This totally gets my back out. How can they just decide that I want more??? If I get more, it's going to cost more and I don't want to pay more!!! No, Lorraine, it won't cost your more, we're giving it to you! Needless to say, I was gob smacked!!!
It's great to know, that even a little fish like me, can send an email, and know that the contents will be dealt with ASAP, or pick up the phone and there will be a friendly voice on the other side to help - even with stupid questions!
